Dan Vierneisel is a demonstrated leader with 20 years of Business Process Excellence and IT experience. In his current role, he serves as the Head of Global Business Services (GBS) and resides on the IT/GBS executive leadership team. Dan’s primary responsibilities include oversight and management of a combined operating and capital budget in excess of $100mm per annum; execution of the GBS migration strategy and roadmap; the delivery of year-over-year cost-to-serve efficiencies through continuous improvement initiatives while transforming business processes; leadership to 1200+ professionals managing day-to-day business services within Finance, Hire-to-Retire, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Master Data Management, Reporting & Analytics and Process Automation; monitoring of service level performance and adherence to policy and controls compliance and BPO contract and relationship management. Since joining Kraft Heinz in 2007, Dan has assumed various roles of increasing responsibility including SAP subject matter expertise during the ERP implementation; business process expertise for numerous MD&A transactions including the divestiture of Pizza, the acquisition of Cadbury, the separation from Mondelēz and the merger of Kraft Heinz; financial systems lead for several corporate restructuring initiatives and most recently as the Head of Enterprise Services where he oversaw IT delivery for Finance, HR, Master Data Management, SAP Development and Reporting & Analytics. Prior to joining Kraft Heinz, Dan started his career with Anderson Consulting as a developer of financial applications. He eventually became an SAP Product Manager following an assignment in Spain where he contributed to the creation of Accenture’s first Financial Shared Service Center. Upon his return, he participated in various key business initiatives including the implementation of SAP as Accenture’s core ERP system, the joint venture with Microsoft (Avanade) and the definition of the SAP template to support the Business Process Outsourcing line of business. Dan received a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. When he’s not working, Dan can be found outdoors coaching various youth activities and enjoys spending time with his wife, three children and dog.
